Mini Goldendoodle Breed Overview

Find the Right Mini Goldendoodle Puppy for Your Family

The Mini Goldendoodle is a hybrid created by crossing a Golden Retriever with a Miniature Poodle. Adult Mini Goldendoodles often weigh 15–35 pounds and stand approximately 13–20 inches tall. Size can vary based on the parents and each puppy’s development.

Friendly, affectionate, intelligent, and playful, Mini Goldendoodles often enjoy close involvement with their families. They typically respond well to positive training, consistent routines, and engaging activities. Early socialization can help puppies become comfortable with different people, pets, and environments.

Mini Goldendoodles need daily exercise and activities that engage their minds. Walks, training games, and supervised play can help support those needs. They can adapt to apartments or larger homes when owners provide sufficient activity and companionship. A large yard can be helpful, but it is not essential.

Their coats may be straight, wavy, or curly and are often low-shedding. Coat type and shedding can vary, even among puppies from the same litter. Regular brushing and professional grooming help prevent tangles and keep their coats manageable.

Mini Goldendoodles commonly live 12–15 years, although individual health and longevity vary. They may inherit health concerns from either parent breed. Prospective owners should discuss preventive care and breed-related concerns with a veterinarian.

For families prepared to provide grooming, training, activity, and companionship, a Mini Goldendoodle can be a loving addition. Review our health guarantee and puppy training information before deciding.
